Marble Accra-Labadi

Metamorphoses limestone or dolomite.  Thick series of beds of white, saccharoidal compact dolomitic marbles associated with quartzites, mica schist and gneisses and other crystal line rocks.  Chemical composition is SiO2 (3.49%) AI2O3 (0.21%), Fe2O3 (0.36%), MgO (20.88%), CaO (29.74%), L. O. I. (45.48%). 

Occasionally had with the presence of tremolite and mica.  Found in two areas of 31,248 sq.  metres and 30,996 sq. metres.  Good for small scale production
Not being exploited
  Near Tema on Accra-Ada road Coarse-grained marble, associated with the  Dhomeyan acide gness hypersten-rich metanoite and schists. Not exploited
Gypsum Pokuasi Formed as chemical precipitate from marine maters of high salinity.  Soft mineral usually white or grey in colour.  No known economic occurrences. Not exploited
Quartzite and Granite Weija, Malam, Oblogo and Doryumu Mainly Silicate compound Being exploited
