The Dangme-West District, the largest of the Region’s District in land mass, has less than 100 000 pupolation mainly due to the nature of the soils and the low level of infrastructural development. Outside Dodowa the District Capital and Asutsuare, the major settlements are Afienya, Dahwenya and the coastal fishing communities of Prampram, Old Ningo and New Ningo.
However, with its huge deposits of oyster shells, friendly beaches and historic sites for tourism, the District continues to boast of potential for development. |
