The Dangbe-East District is conterminous with the Ada Traditional Area and until early 2004 with the Ada Constituency.  The District is best known for its White Gold (Salt) through the Songor Salt Industry.

It is also very well known for its Tourist industry based on the Volta Estuary.  The District’s development potential is quite enormous.
